Mrs. Melitta Bentz loved coffee so much that she was the first in the world to invent the first coffee filter in 1908, which laid the foundation for today's Melitta brand.
Melitta® Original paper filters are made from Aromapor® paper, which features micro pores called aromapores that are divided into 3 aromatic zones, each containing a different number of these pores. The top layer of the filter prevents the bitter taste, the middle layer ensures even leaching of the coffee and the bottom layer ensures the first development of the aroma.
The result is an exceptionally balanced filtered coffee with a fully developed flavour.
